Description

South Wheal Tamar, Bere Ferrers, Devon.

A striking specimen of crystalline quartz exhibiting sharp casts after large fluorite crystals. The flat surfaces of these casts are richly covered with well-formed, hexagonal babel quartz crystals, showing classic stepped and tapered growth, to 8 mm across.

An excellent example for this locality.

Ex. Richard Hoston collection previously from the collection of Bill Hodge, Bovy Tracy, Devon.

Size 7 x 6 x 5 cm
