St. Austell Consols Mine, St. Stephen, Cornwall.
A vein section of siderite, cut and polished on both sides to reveal attractive blooms of skutterudite and cobaltian löllingite, characteristically edged with brassy-yellow nickelite. The metallic sulphide minerals provide an excellent contrast against the pale siderite matrix, giving the specimen a particularly distinctive appearance.
An excellent locality specimen displaying a fine association of cobalt and nickel minerals from St. Austell Consols Mine.
