South Cargol Mine, Newlyn East, Cornwall.
A fine specimen displaying cubic fluorite crystals to 1.7 cm on edge, completely pseudomorphed by quartz while retaining their original cubic form. The quartz has formed a finely crystalline surface, giving the pseudomorphs a distinctive appearance.
This specimen was collected in January 2007 from a mine dump east of Dylon Shaft.
