Gunheath Clay Quarry, St. Austell, Cornwall.
A superb specimen from the Gunheath Clay Quarry which displays semi translucent opal in various shades of black, orange, yellow and white seated on a thin layer of kaolinised granite.
One of the nicest Cornish opal I have seen, wonderful range of colours.
