12 Level, North Pig Lode, Levant Section, Geevor Mine, Pendeen, Cornwall.

A free standing specimen displaying translucent crystals of quartz with inclusions of red hematite and many tiny white crystals of calcite as shown in the first photo. The reverse side of the as specimen shown in the last two photos displays crystals of quartz in a much paler colour with inclusions of micro crystalline hematite and another mineral resembling bismuthinite.

From the collection of David Kneebone who was the manager of Geevor Mine until the mine closure in1991

No damage, sits well.
