Connellite, Perran St. George Mine, Perranzabuloe, Cornwall.

An attractive locality specimen displaying thin layers of malachite with rich deep blue compact fibrous connellite on a small amount of granular matrix.

This specimen was collected in 1991 from high within the old workings on the north coast of Cornwall, which are accessible only at low tide. The final photograph shows flows of copper staining just inside the entrance to the mine.
