Wheal Trelawny, Menheniot, Cornwall.

A rare and unusual specimen from the Trelawny Mine which worked the Northern extension of the Wheal Mary Ann lode. The specimen displays a thin, broken shell of white chalcedony reavealing tighty packed acicular brown fibrous fluorite crystals to 1.5cm.

This specimen was collected from the mine dump in 1998.
