12 Acre field, Nancekuke Common, Porthtowan, Cornwall.
A shoad stone of quartz which is exceptionally rich in cryptocrystalline cassiterite, collected from a ploughed field near Factory Farm, situated between Portreath and Porthtowan.
A very large specimen, weighing several kilograms was recovered from the same locality at the turn of the 19th century and was donated to the County Museum in Truro.
